Terms and Conditions
In these Terms and Conditions, BrizPlant means Briz Plant & Equipment Sales Pty Ltd, ABN 89 660 915 248. These terms are also available in BrizPlant quotes and/or on the work dockets issued for the works.
Plant, trucks and minimum hire
All BrizPlant machines, trucks and attachments are supplied on a wet hire basis unless agreed otherwise in writing. Minimum hire charges apply to all machinery, trucks, attachments and operators. Minimum hire periods are shown with the relevant machine or service rate. Attachments have a 1 hour minimum hire.
Machines sourced from other suppliers or subcontractors may incur different rates. Long term hire may be priced by agreement where guaranteed hire periods are confirmed in writing.
After-hours work
- Public holidays and Sundays incur an additional hourly charge, as stated in the quote, and an 8 hour minimum hire charge.
- Work starting from 6pm through to 5am, Monday to Saturday, incurs an additional hourly charge, as stated in the quote, and an 8 hour minimum hire charge.
Attachments and wear
Wear and tear of auger or bucket teeth, cutting edges or attachments may attract a replacement or repair charge if wear is excessive. Rock augers incur an additional hourly charge on top of the post hole borer rate.
Rates, GST and billing
All rates are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise and may change unless confirmed in writing by BrizPlant. Billing time is worked out in 15 minute increments after the minimum hire period.
Cancellations
Minimum hire may apply if machinery is not cancelled 1 hour before the commencement time, or 1.5 hours if the site is more than 30km from the Brisbane CBD. Wet weather cancellations are the client's responsibility unless agreed otherwise. Failure to cancel within the required timeframe may incur a minimum hire charge.
Delivery and travel
Except where a float fee applies:
- within 30km of the Brisbane CBD: 1 hour travel
- between 30km and 60km from the Brisbane CBD: 1.5 hours travel
- over 60km: priced at the time of booking
Float. A double float, being float in and float out, applies to all jobs of less than 3 full days unless agreed otherwise. A minimum full day hire is generally based on an 8 hour day. Float cancellations must be made 24 hours before the scheduled job start; failure to do so may incur the full float charge.
Carryover. Carrying machinery over to the next day may incur half of the first day's travel charge, except trucks and water trucks, which may have 1 hour of travel every day. If the machine is signed off early, full travel may still be charged on the carryover. A full day is generally 8 hours including travel.
Tolls, tipping and disposal
Toll charges apply when incurred travelling to and from tip sites, between jobs for the same customer on the same day, or during mobilisation and demobilisation.
Tip fees, disposal charges, waste tracking, tolls and related costs are charged to the client where incurred. Any tipping on a BrizPlant account must be approved before tipping. The client must advise BrizPlant of any asbestos, contaminated material or special disposal requirements before works commence.
Payment
COD customers must supply valid payment details before works commence. Payment may be required daily, on completion, or as stated on the quote or invoice.
Work dockets and sign-off
Signed work dockets, timesheets or job records may be used for invoicing. Signing a docket confirms the recorded time, plant, labour, travel and works are accepted as accurate. Any issue must be raised before signing.
Site conditions
The client must provide safe and suitable site access, and must advise BrizPlant of underground services, overhead services, soft ground, restricted access, asbestos, contaminated soil or other hazards before works commence. Delays, waiting time or additional costs caused by site conditions or client-controlled issues may be charged.
Licensing and compliance
Where asbestos removal, asbestos-related works or regulated waste works are undertaken, BrizPlant will perform the works in accordance with applicable Queensland requirements. BrizPlant holds Class A Asbestos Removal Licence No. 2333881.
