Scope the project
We attend site, review available registers and reports, and define the physical scope across removal, demolition, excavation and haulage.Plan and notify (ARCP / SWMS)
A site-specific Asbestos Removal Control Plan and Safe Work Method Statement are prepared, and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is notified where the work is notifiable.Establish site controls & containment
Barricades, signage, exclusion zones, containment and decontamination controls are selected to suit the material, its condition and the work method. Friable-asbestos controls may include enclosure, negative pressure, HEPA filtration and decontamination facilities where required.Remove, demolish or remediate
Regulated removal, structural demolition and controlled excavation are sequenced under one programme, with air monitoring where the work requires it.Verify outcome via independent clearance
Clearance is carried out by an appropriately qualified independent party, as applicable to the work, before an area is released.Document, haul and hand over
The handover includes records relevant to the scope, which may include clearance, validation, waste-tracking, disposal and project documentation. One accountable contractor across asbestos removal, remediation and demolition.
Complex projects are often divided between removalists, demolition contractors, consultants and transport providers. Can't find your question here? Speak directly with our team and we'll help define the next step.
Do you work on houses, or commercial sites only?
Our work is weighted toward commercial, industrial and public-sector sites, but we also assess suitable residential projects, including fire-, storm- and impact-damaged properties. The right approach depends on the material, its condition, access and the proposed works.
What does a Class A asbestos removal licence cover?
A Class A licence authorises the removal of friable and non-friable asbestos. The controls, notifications, air monitoring and clearance requirements depend on the scope and applicable requirements.
How do you manage demolition involving friable asbestos?
We first define the asbestos and demolition scope, then plan the sequencing, controls and verification requirements with the relevant specialists. The method depends on the condition of the structure and asbestos and may involve staged removal or controlled demolition.
How much notice does notifiable asbestos work need?
Licensed asbestos removal work generally must be notified to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland at least five days before work starts. Different provisions may apply in limited or emergency circumstances, so timing is confirmed for each project.
What documentation will I receive at handover?
The handover pack is matched to the scope and may include plans, notifications, clearance or validation records, air-monitoring results, waste-tracking records, disposal dockets and project photographs.
Can BrizPlant coordinate demolition as well as asbestos removal?
Where the scope includes both, BrizPlant can coordinate asbestos removal, demolition, waste movements and project handover under one programme. The proposed delivery model is confirmed after the site information and project requirements are reviewed.
Send us your project details. We'll come back to you with the next step.
Send the site address, asbestos register or reports, photographs, drawings and your required timeframe. We'll review the information, identify anything missing and confirm whether a site inspection is needed.
Need urgent project advice?
If asbestos may have been disturbed, do not touch or clean it. Keep people away from the area and call us to discuss the safest next step.
