Asbestos Testing & Sampling
You cannot plan a removal, price a demolition or validate a soil scope without knowing what the material actually is. We sample it, we get it analysed by a NATA-accredited laboratory, and we give you a report you can build and tender from.
Overview
Sampled, Analysed, Reported
Sampling and reporting are ours. We attend, sample to a plan rather than at random, and send the material to a NATA-accredited laboratory for analysis. What comes back to you is not a raw laboratory sheet, it is a report that says what is there, where it is and what it means for the works.
The advantage of that sitting with a licensed removal contractor is programme control. Testing booked late, sampled thinly or returned after the crew has stood down costs more than the testing itself. We schedule sampling against the works, hold the laboratory to a turnaround and translate the result straight into scope.
Scope
What We Test For
Testing scopes we routinely run on commercial, industrial and public-sector projects.
- ·Bulk sampling of suspected asbestos-containing materials
- ·Sampling ahead of refurbishment, strip-out and demolition
- ·Soil sampling and delineation of suspected contamination
- ·Validation sampling following excavation and remediation
- ·Air monitoring during licensed removal works
- ·Clearance inspection and clearance air monitoring
- ·Laboratory analysis through NATA-accredited facilities
- ·Consolidation of results into a register you can act on
Process
How a Testing Scope Runs
Define the question
We establish what decision the result has to support, because sampling for a demolition scope and sampling for a validation are not the same exercise.
Sample to a plan
We attend and sample against that plan, recording location, material and condition, so the result can be traced back to a point on the site.
Analyse at a NATA laboratory
Samples go to a NATA-accredited laboratory. Accreditation is what makes the result stand up to a certifier, an insurer or a tenderer.
Hold the turnaround
We tell you the date you will have results before sampling is booked, including where an urgent turnaround is available and what it changes.
Report into scope
You get what the result means for the works: what is in, what is out, what changes the control level and what changes the programme.
Keep one register
Results are consolidated so the project carries a single register rather than a folder of loose laboratory reports.
Compliance
Who Does What, and Why It Holds Up
Sampling and reporting: ours. We attend, sample and write the report. Having it sit with the licensed contractor who will do the work is what keeps testing on programme instead of stranded between three parties.
Analysis: a NATA-accredited laboratory. Every sample is analysed by a NATA-accredited laboratory. That accreditation is what makes a result defensible, and it is why we do not analyse in-house.
Clearance: ours to deliver, independent where it counts. We provide clearance as part of the service. Where we are also carrying out the removal, the inspection and certificate come from an independent licensed asbestos assessor or competent person we engage, so the document closing your file is never issued by the crew that did the work.
One point of accountability. Sampling, analysis, clearance and the works sit under one contract and one supervisor, which is the difference between a result that lands on time and one that holds up a programme.
Questions
Testing and Sampling Questions
Is there a conflict in you testing work you might also remove?
It is a fair question and the answer is in how the file is built. Analysis is never ours: every sample goes to a NATA-accredited laboratory, so the number that matters is produced independently. And where we carry out the removal, the clearance that closes the job is issued by an independent licensed asbestos assessor or competent person we engage. The independence sits at the two points a certifier or insurer actually tests.
Do I need testing if the building has an asbestos register?
Often the register is the starting point rather than the answer. Registers commonly record presumed material that was never sampled, and they rarely cover areas that were inaccessible when the survey was done. Anything being disturbed generally needs to be confirmed rather than presumed.
How long does laboratory analysis take?
It depends on the laboratory and the sample type, and urgent turnarounds are usually available at a premium. We confirm the turnaround before sampling is booked so it can be scheduled against the works rather than discovered afterwards.
Can you work to testing we have already had done?
Yes, and we prefer to where the work is current and the scope matches. We will review what you hold, tell you where it covers the proposed works and where it does not, and only sample the gaps.

Decontamination & Project Handover
Controlled clean-down, clearance and the documented handover that releases the area.
We are set up for commercial, industrial and public-sector work, and that is where our plant and crews spend their time. We do take residential enquiries, and if you have asbestos on a house we will either help or tell you who should.
Not sure what you have?
Send through what you know and we will tell you what it looks like and what it would take.
